A friend of mine's new suit. It's based on the Jim Lee art, primarily in the "Batman: Hush" comic book. I absolutely LOVED it, as Jim Lee is my favorite artist, this suit definately is one of the, if not the best one I've seen yet.
You see, the thing about Batman suits are that they're so popular. I've been costuming for close to four years, and I've probably seen AT LEAST a hundred different Batman costumes. Probably much more.
After a while they all tend to blend together. Grey spandex. Yellow belt. Bat on chest. Pointy ears and a cape. What makes this one on of the best is, not only is it of a higher quality than most, but it has that individuality as a costume. And it wins major brownie points with me just because how much it looks like Jim Lee's original art, which in itself was breathtaking.
Oh, I understand that very clearly. It's a really well-made suit that really hits the mark in fitting the actual suit from the artwork. But, although I've nvr really costumed myself, I've seen many Bat-suits that really just stand out as stand-alone, well-made, hand-crafted suits.
